Series S56

The GER Class S56 was a tank engine with a 0-6-0 wheel arrangement, so a steam engine without a carrying axle and with three coupled axles instead. It is the successor to the R24 series, only the water tanks are larger and the boiler pressure higher.

Series 75

The 75 Series was one of the first superheated steam engines; it was delivered and entered service in the years between 1914 and 1917. These engines were so efficient and tough that they remained in active service in the Deutsche Reichsbahn of the GDR until 1970.

Series 05

For two years, the series 05 was the fastest steam engine in the world. It continues to be the fastest German steam engine to this day! Our series 05 shows the model after the removal of the streamlined fairing.

Series A4

The LNER A 4 Mallard was constructed by Sir Nigel Greasley and entered service in 1938. On 3rd July 1938, it set the speed record for steam engines that remains unbeaten to this day.

Series 2TE10L

The engines of the SŽD series 2TE10L of the Soviet Railways (SŽD) were broad-gauge diesel engines with diesel-electric transmission, mainly used for the transport of cargo.

Series 601

The TEE of the VT11.5 series (later BR 601) was an epochal innovation and for a long time the flagship of the Deutsche Bundesbahn. These TEEs were in service across Europe and later also used as InterCities.

Series 218

The V160 series was the first single engine diesel locomotive for moderately heavy duty. A whole family of diesel engines stemmed from it. With more than 400 units, the most popular variant is the series 218, which has been in service since 1968.

Series Maxima

At the time of its commissioning the Voith Maxima 40 CC was the most powerful single-engine diesel locomotive in the world. Its 5,000 HP are distributed by six axles. With so far only 20 manufactured units, this engine is bound to remain a rarity on the tracks.

Series BB 15000

The BB7200 was the first French direct current engine with automatic load control. It was built between 1976 and 1985 and is used in heavy cargo service. Its distinctive design brought her the nickname 'broken nose'.

Series Mat '54

This commuter train from the Netherlands made news with its great passenger comfort when it was introduced in 1956. The characteristic design made these trains famous under the name 'Hondekop' (dog head). Many of the trains were in active service for 40 years.

Series ETR 610

Since December 2014, the Pendolinos of the ED250 series are the fastest trains of the PKP.

Series EP20

The engines of the EP20 series are the result of a joint venture of Alstom and the Transmash Holding. The engines with an output of up to 7200 kW are designated for rapid transit and have been commissioned for the Olympic Games in Sochi.
